It’s also the story of Dr. Kabasele, a geologist working with a major industrial mine, implementing cutting-edge water recycling systems to protect local watersheds. “We are not just taking resources,” he explains. “We are stewards of this land. Our responsibility is to leave it healthier than we found it.”
And it’s the story of Ahmed, a due diligence officer at a licensed comptoir, who painstakingly verifies documents and travels to remote sites to ensure the minerals he buys are conflict-free. “My job is to be the last line of defense,” he states. “Trust is our most valuable asset.”
